Isaiah YAHWEH is salvation

Isaiah prophesied for more than 50 years during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. He convinced King Hezekiah to trust in the Lord when the Assyrians attacked. But Judah refused to turn away from her idols. The Babylonians captured Jerusalem, burned the Temple, and exiled most of the Jews.

Isaiah wrote chapters 40 to 66 to comfort the exiles and remind them that the Lord will not be angry with them forever. He will surely bring them back to their land. Isaiah also prophesied about the coming Messiah, or Suffering Servant, who in the end will bring a new heaven and a new earth.
